The total of 18 penguin species has been found today and Emperors are the largest of them, and one of the biggest birds in general. They reach up to 120 cm in height while their weight is approximately 40 kg, but it can change during the year. The scientists believe that the “mega-penguins” used to live here because of the fossils discovered and these remains reveal that the species of penguins that lived 37m years ago reached the height of 2 meters and weight of 115 kg.
