The longest reigning tag team champions in the history of the WWE have moved over to the blue brand as a part of the superstar shakeup that happened a couple of weeks ago. After dominating the scene on Monday Night Raw, the New Day is now a part of the Smackdown Live as they are gearing up to make a run at the Smackdown tag team titles.

The Usos have successfully defended their championships at the Backlash pay per view against The Breezango. Tyler Breeze and Fandango have had a good run in the past month, and this feud might continue. Even though The Usos are the favorites to go into the Summerslam season as the tag champions, we wouldn’t count out the possibility of Breeze and Fandango winning the championships. When Jinder Mahal is your world champion, anything is possible.

Why is this important for the New Day? Well, the general belief is that the New Day is going to be the ones to challenge for the tag championships on the blue brand going into the Summerslam season as the biggest tag team feud that the company can do going into the most important show of the summer is the one that involves the New Day.

They are not appearing on the WWE TV right now because Kofi Kingston is still out with the injury, but his recovery is progressing good, and they will soon be back. Xavier Woods is going to participate in the Rocket League world championships on June 2nd while Big E has been doing some promotional work in India for the WWE. Once Kofi is ready to come back, the New Day will appear on SD Live.
