A very popular thriller drama TV series – The Whispers premiered on June 1, 2015. It won the audience’s attention the moment it debuted on ABC, where it was broadcasted as well. The script of the show is based on the short story written by Ray Bradbury, named Zero Hour. The creator of the TV series is Soo Hugh, while its executive producer is Steven Spielberg. The story of the TV show revolves around an alien invasion of the Earth. Namely, visitors from the other planet have used children in order to achieve their plans.

X Marks the Spot – the pilot episode of the TV show was directed by Brad Turner and Mark Romanek, and it attracted 5.66 million viewers. Plot & Summary

The storyline of the TV series revolves around a series of mysterious incidents which took place in various locations. After these episodes children communicated with their fictitious invisible friend Drill.

The focus of the show is on one of these cases, which is investigated by the series’ heroine Claire Bennigan, played by Lily Rabe. She is an FBI agent who specializes in work with children. Another accident happens, a 6-year-old girl almost kills her mother. Claire finds out that all the accidents are connected, even the one which happened to her own son. Furthermore, she discovers some intriguing details which might shed light on the disappearance of her husband.

The Whispers Season 2 Release Date

Unfortunately, ABC has canceled the renewal of The Whispers for a second season. It was also confirmed on Twitter by Milo Ventimiglia. It is likely that the show was canceled due to bad television ratings.
