The Dallas Cowboys preseason football starts earlier this year and it is going, to begin with, the Hall of Fame game. Arizona will be their opponent on Thursday night in this extra preseason contest for the ‘Boys in 2017. Even though it is just a friendly game, there are things that the Cowboys fans can look for against the Cards. Here is what we suggest Dallas’ fans should watch for in this game.

Whether or not Jaylon Smith plays for the ‘Boys is going to be something to look for. He was one of the most talented linebackers coming out of the last year’s draft but never got a chance to play because of the knee injury that he suffered last year before the camp even began. There are rumors that he might step on the field against Arizona, which is means that Thursday night might be the first chance for the fans to see him in action.

The other thing that the fans should pay attention to in this matchup is the backup quarterbacks of the Dallas Cowboys. Kellen Moore will likely start this game in order to prove that he is going to be a valid replacement for Cowboys this season. Luke McCown was signed by the team last Friday evening so he is probably going to see some action tonight as well. That matchup might be interesting to see.

Even though Moore is a clear cut favorite to land that number one backup spot on this years squad, there is a reason that the Cowboys signed McCown. They will not hesitate to make him the backup if he outplays Moore in these five preseason games that Dallas will play this year.
