Deadpool 2 started shooting about a month ago, and we haven’t learned much since that, but T.J. Miller revealed something important. T.J. Miller promoted Sony’s upcoming The Emoji Movie which is coming to the theaters on July 28, but after that, he flew to the Deadpool 2 set where he will play the charismatic Weasel. He talked about weapons and revealed that Weasel would use an impressive one. Or he may not be armed at all.

He said: “I mean, Weasel either has the coolest gun that I’ve ever seen or doesn’t have a gun at all. That’s all I can give forth right now.”

You can see the short interview with Miller below. When he was happy enough to reveal such an “important” detail about his character, Miller went on to say that the sequel is progressing well and that the script is amazing.

He added: “No, but it’s going great. The script is so funny. Paul (Wernick) and Rhett (Reese) and Ryan Reynolds just spent so much time elevating this second installment, the script for it, to a level that I just didn’t even think could exist. I was crying laughing, every single page as I read the thing. It’s so funny. It’s gonna be great. I really, really think it’s gonna be good.”

Just a few days earlier, Josh Brolin, who is going to play Cable said that the script was even funnier than the one used in the first movie. He also added that Cable was going to be entertaining in Deadpool 2. However, the two actors didn’t reveal anything about the plot, but Miller indicated that we might see Weasel going on some kind of mission with Dopinder played by Karan Soni.

The script is praised by the actors, which is definitely a good sign and even though we don’t know the story, it looks promising. The first part set high expectations, and Deadpool 2 really needs to deliver. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick returned as writers, while brilliant Tim Miller is replaced by equally excellent David Leitch.

Deadpool 2 will be released on June 1, 2018.
