Vehicles Perfect For Dark Side
The Star Wars movie series is one of the most popular franchises of its kind in the world. Millions and millions of fans rushed to theaters to see the Rogue One, and so did we. However, one thing was crossing our mind lately. What cars would suit best ‘the dark side’? What would Sith Lords pick? We decided to make a list of the most prominent Sith Lords and Kylo Ren (yes, we know he isn’t a Sith Lord (still)) and their designated vehicles that go best with their character. If you disagree at any point with our list, feel free to leave a comment in the comments section below.
Darth Vader – Porsche 911 Turbo S
What kind of list would this one be if we had omitted the most iconic of them all- the ominous Darth Vader. Having said that that this character is the most iconic of all Siths, he deserves the most iconic vehicle of all sports cars. We’d pick an all-black Porsche 911 Turbo S for him. Vader’s name is derived from the German word ‘vater’ which translates to ‘father’ in English, however, we are not saying that Darth is associated with Germany but the 911 Turbo S is.
It is common knowledge that Darth Vader has some kind of automobile history, and on top of that he is a legendary character, and this car is a legend of its own kind. Cruising down the road backed up with a 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine which makes 580 hp would surely suit this guy. It pretty much comes as a match made in heaven, or in hell because power combined with power equals even more power.
Darth Maul – Dodge Challenger SRT Demon
We have to admit that this combination was the easiest of them all. Darth Maul even looks like the Dodge Challenger SRT’s Demon badge. Coincidence? We think not. He would look awesome behind the wheel, and the power and aggressiveness behind the Challenger SRT Demon would perfectly fit the character of the Darth Maul. This Dodge runs on a 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 engine which would provide him with 840 hp and 770 pound-feet of torque. That means that Darth Maul would get to 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds. Perfect getaway car for Darth Maul and we know that it would be of good use to him. And just like the frosting on the cake, the color theme of the Challenger SRT Demon matches nicely with the hellish Maul. Red and black, aren’t those the colors of evil? Hell yes.
Darth Sidious – Mercedes-Maybach S600 Pullman Guard
We don’t think that Darth Sidious or as some may call him, Emperor Palpatine would drive a car similar to ones of his two aforementioned apprentices. However, a perfect vehicle for him might be the Mercedes-Maybach S Pullman Guard. Why? Every great ruler has to have one. Seeing that Darth Sidious is the last Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic and the first Emperor of the Galactic Empire this bulletproof limousine (Pullman Guard!) would be an ideal for the dictator khm or should we say the Supreme Chancellor. He would have no worries about potential assassination attempts. Jedis couldn’t get to him in his limousine.
Darth Tyranus – Audi A8
We have had so much difficulty finding a suitable car for Darth Tyranus (Count Dooku). We struggled to find a vehicle that would fit his character, so we opted for an Audi A8 in the end. Still, the A8 is a flagship model that’s just one step down from the Audi A8 L, and it’s German manufacturing that we are talking about here. No hard feelings Darth Tyranus, okay? We know that you used to be one of the most powerful Jedis in your prime and we know that Audi A8 isn’t the most powerful car on our list but a 4.0-liter engine, twin turbo, V-8 that can make 435 hp and 444 pound-feet of torque would be good enough, don’t you think? A Sith Lord like Darth Tyranus would handle this vehicle well.
Bonus character: Kylo Ren – Toyota GT86
Yeah, yeah, yeah, technically Kylo isn’t a Sith Lord, okay, we got it. But not yet he isn’t. He is the apprentice of the Supreme Leader Snoke who actually is a humanoid alien with no need for a car. Instead of Snoke, we’ll put Kylo on the list, and we’ll award him with a Toyota GT 86. This guy isn’t going to become a Sith Lord anytime soon so we thought that for a start he would be okay with a Toyota GT 86. Just to start his journey, please don’t choke us now. An entry level sports car such as the GT 86 is not at the same level as the Porsche 911 Turbo S, but Ren also isn’t at the same level as the Darth Vader. No hard feelings, eh? But Ren has potential to be just as brutal as his grandpa, so we will look for a better fit one day. Until then, stick with the Toyota Ren.
