Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) Allows Users To Sign In Periscope With Just Phone Number

The leading social media company Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) launched video streaming app Periscope not more than six weeks ago, and now the company has decided to add a few revolutionary features to it. As per the reports, users can sign up for the app without having a Twitter account. They can use their phone number as the ID and use Periscope.

What Else Other Than Easy Sign Up

The war among social media companies has touched all new levels. All the companies are trying to grab as many users as possible to ensure that they get an edge over their rivals. Twitter doesn’t want to leave any stone unturned in such situation. The announcement about this new feature in Periscope was made by Twitter in a medium post that was signed by Periscope team as well.

Apart from signing up with the help of mobile number, Twitter has also made quite a few other changes. For example an easy chat experience, changing Persicope’s default image into profile picture of Twitter, and easy broadcasting. Now, users can tap on the profile photo of Periscope and change it with a single touch. They can either upload one from the camera roll or shoot a new photo right away.

Earlier, users needed to have a twitter account for using Periscope, but now, there is no such requirement. They can link their mobile number and start using the services if they aren’t on Twitter. In case someone is already on Twitter, the app will ask him to sign in via Twitter ID.

While broadcasting any video, users can now reply to comments in an easy way using their Twitter handle. The company has tried to make it as easy as possible. The users will now be able to see the history of broadcasted videos in the broadcast section. The company looks forward to making many more changes in the near future to improve the user experience.
