Created by Brad Wright and co-produced by Netflix and Showcase, a science fiction TV series Travelers appeared in October last year and now, only a couple of months after the first season ended, we know that much to all fans’ delight, Travelers will be renewed for Season 2. The great news was revealed after the Netflix had confirmed that they would also renew The OA, another sci-fi series that debuted at the end of 2016.

Not only did they report that we should expect a new batch of episodes, but they also confirmed that some new cast members would join the original crew. Eric McCormack who plays one of the main roles in the series (Grant MacLaren) broke the news that Enrico Colantoni, best known for his part in the sitcom series Just Shoot Me, will be one of the new members, but we still don’t know what his part in Travelers will be. In addition to Just Shoot Me, Colantoni has also made an appearance in several other popular series, including Person of Interest, Remedy, Flashpoint, as well as movies such as The Wrong Guy, Galaxy Quest and Contagion.

As for the original cast, we hope all of them will replay their roles in the upcoming season. In case you don’t remember, here are some of the original crew members that made memorable performance in Travelers Season 1 (besides McCormack): MacKenzie Porter as Marcy Warton, Nesta Cooper as Carly Shannon, Jared Abrahamson as Trevor Holden, Patrick Gilmore as David Mailer, etc.

One thing’s for sure – McCormack will definitely be there for a sequel, as he once expressed how wonderful experience it was for him to work on this project, saying: “I’m as proud of Travelers as any show I’ve ever been part of. And I’m blown away by this extraordinary young cast as any group of actors I’ve ever worked with. That the entire team is Canadian is icing on the cake, which makes my friend, Brad Wright, the cherry on top.”
