Worst Finishing Moves Ever Used in WWE Rings
The finishing move is a big part of every single wrestler as it is that one signature maneuver that they have and that makes them special. It has to be legit in order for the superstar to look serious. Nowadays, it is hard to succeed if your strongest move isn’t good. In the past, however, wrestlers were easily able to overcome that. For that reason, most of this finishers are the thing of the past.
Sting – Scorpion Death Drop
The name of the move is cool, but if you take a closer look at it, it is just two guys falling backward. It really doesn’t have a big impact, yet it was often used in the WCW back in the day. Cool name, bad move overall.
Edge – Spear
He is not the only one that has been using the spear, but some of his spears haven’t really made a big impact. Sometimes, they just looked slow. Overall, the presentation prior to the move was good, but the maneuver itself was mediocre.
The Rock – People’s Elbow
Basically, this is an elbow drop with theatrics, something that today wouldn’t even hold the opponent for the two count. The Rock was over with the fans big time, so any move that he did would be received well.
Big Show – KO Punch
Show is the biggest star in the WWE, so it makes sense that his punch is the strongest. But, closed fist is actually forbidden in wrestling so it really shouldn’t exist.
Hulk Hogan – Leg Drop
When you were about to receive a leg drop from Hulkster, you knew that you are going to get buried. The move looked weak, yet nobody ever kicked out of it. If someone couldn’t kick out of it today, that superstar’s career would be over right away.
