The second position belongs to another American truck – the Chevrolet Silverado, which managed to record 574,876 sales. The Silverado is followed by Ram Truck Line and Toyota Camry with 489,418 and 388,616 units sold respectively. The mid-size truck segment is interesting, but we expected the dominance of the Toyota Tacoma that is sold in 191,631 examples. GMC Canyon disappointed with only 37,449 units sold, while 108,725 customers managed to afford the Chevy Colorado.

The Nissan Frontier is still competent, and although it was introduced back in 2004 as the D40 Navara, it managed to sell 86,926 units in 2016. It is argued that the ongoing model of Frontier is the oldest truck on sale in North America.
