Although born in Ohio, Tom Segura grew up in Florida, in Vero Beach. He has two sisters, and his childhood was unique in every way.

Although always praised for his sense of humor, it wasn’t until he graduated Lenoir-Rhyne University that he decided to make a career in comedy. Originally, it was a way for him to deal with his challenges and numerous frustrations in life.

When he was 18, tom overdosed on GHB, also known as liquid ecstasy. His sister found him unconscious and called 911. Paramedics were able to stabilize him before transferring him to a hospital and fortunately, he was able to continue his life without consequences. Doctors told him that he had such a severe reaction because he was overweight.

Tom married Christina Pazsitzky in 2008. She is also a comedian, and the couple was in a relationship for years before they decided to marry. Together they host a podcast called Your Mom’s House.

Canadian Down Syndrome Society accused him of hate speech because of his jokes about disabilities.
