As you probably figured from the title, this is a clash between two three-row Chevy SUVs. These big boys have never been this much sought out for, or this easy to buy in a long time. Since the VW introduced the Atlas late last year, Chevy had to respond by enlarging its fleet with the introduction of the larger Traverse. The high card for the 2018 Chevy Traverse is the already-available three-rows like in Tahoe and Suburban. Although these cars are very different overall, some of their core features are similar enough. This list will prove it to you.

Bigger is always better!

Since the dimensions are crucial here, it is important to state that the 2018 Traverse measures in at 204.3 inches which is significantly longer than the vehicle it is supposed to replace and that was a general idea. This makes the new Traverse second in line behind the huge Suburban. Thanks to all of that the new Traverse is one astonishing vehicle. Check out all of its dimension stacked up against 2017 Chevy Tahoe.

The interior space

As you probably know, Chevy Tahoe is (or right about now, was) “notorious” for its interior dimensions and roominess, but the new kid on the block – the 2018 Traverse is somewhat bigger. Traverse offers more than 98.5 cubic feet of usable space when you have the second and third row of seats folded down. Below are the details.

Performance

Since Chevrolet made an all new SUV, they decided to replace, what is now ancient, 5.3-liter V8 with something that will offer a little more kick to it and they opted for two new ones that are more efficient units. The first one is the 305 HP V6 and the second one, a somewhat mellow engine, offers 255 HP and four cylinders. Both of these units give a lot of edge to the 2018 Traverse over its heavier, less efficient adversary the 2017 Chevy Tahoe. Check out the details below.
