When the WWE announced that there is going to be the number one contender’s six pack challenge on Smackdown Live, people already started thinking about Shinsuke Nakamura or Tye Dillinger as the ones possibly challenging Randy Orton for the WWE championship. But, they weren’t even in the match. It was a good decision as they need to chase the title for a while so them winning the chip has a bigger meaning and a better feel to it.

Dolph Ziggler, Jinder Mahal, Luke Harper, Eric Rowan, Mojo Rawley, and Sami Zayn were in the duel. When you take a look at these names, you can assume that either Harper or Zayn are going to win the spot in the title picture. But no, that didn’t happen. We saw Bollywood Boyz appear as they helped Jinder get rid of Sami Zayn and they gave him a chance at the championship against Randy Orton. Against all the odds, Jinder Mahal is your number one contender.

After the match, Mahal cut a great promo by saying that the fans are probably booing him because he’s not American, because of the wealth of his family or his higher education that he has. Still, he stated that the fans have no choice but to accept Jinder Mahal as the next WWE Champion.

Rumors were swirling that Mahal is going to get a push, but nobody really knew why. Now, the reports are saying that WWE wants to become even more popular in India as they do have a big following there. With Jinder in the picture for the WWE title, it is going to help the company to get even more fans from India. Many people there are actually the fans of Roman Reigns, but Mahal at the top of the card is for sure going to help in the developing relationship with WWE and Indian wrestling and fans.
