Ever since its first season finished back in July 2016, numerous fans of Stranger Things have been waiting for its sequel impatiently. If we take a look at the first season, we cannot but mention an enormous success it achieved and the thrilling moments it featured. This is one of the main reasons why its fans have been eagerly waiting for more and craving for it. As far as the official confirmation from Netflix is concerned, it was confirmed on August 31, 2016, that the show would be renewed for another season. Moreover, it was later said that Stranger Things 2 would be released on October 31, 2017.
This means that there are only a few months left until the second season and this makes everyone wonder what it might bring. When it comes to the crew and cast of the show, fans have been updated from time to time just enough to be intrigued. However, it was recently said that one of the major characters wouldn’t come back for the sequel. Some new actors who will join the cast are Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery.
In an interview with the Hollywood Reported, the executive producer of Stranger Things season 2 – Shawn Levy talked about what we would have an opportunity to see in the upcoming episodes. He also revealed which character wouldn’t be making a comeback. Namely, since Barb died in the first season due to a monster attack, she won’t be resurrected in any way, as some fans have been requesting.
However, disappointed fans might have got due to Barb’s death. Levy made it clear that she wouldn’t be saved. This is not all as the story itself will be darker and scarier, and while it may disappoint fans, on the one hand, it will definitely satisfy them on the other.
