Should There Be Women’s Royal Rumble?

There are a lot of great events and big matches that WWE puts together in a year. But, when it comes to the biggest shows and the most interesting one, the Royal Rumble battle in January is probably right at the top of that ladder. It is an amazing concept that is still alive after all of the years that we have seen this match. Thirty men enter the brawl, only one walks away with the title shot on the biggest stage of them all.

So, why there hasn’t been a match where thirty women enter and only one walks away with the championship opportunity? Well, there are a couple of reasons for it. First of all, the women’s wrestling hasn’t been something that the fans enjoyed very much in the past. It was just girls in attractive clothes that moved around the ring. Most of them haven’t even been trained as wrestlers for an extended period of time.

Another reason is that there hasn’t been a lot of women in the company and WWE never really thought about having them wrestle in the Royal Rumble. Lita, WWE Hall of Famer, believes that there is a good chance that we might see that match happen in the near future.

“I would absolutely love if there was a Women’s Rumble. If anybody has seen the Mae Young Classic, has watched Ring of Honor, has watched these promotions around the world, there are no shortage of entrants of who could be in that Royal Rumble. I think that we all should start a hashtag #WomensRoyalRumble” because you know, that’s how things happened before. Create that butt, and they’ll eventually listen.”
