Shane McMahon Adds A Huge Twist To Fastlane Main Event

On the latest edition of the Smackdown Live, we have had the chance to see Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn battle it out in order to decide who is going to be the number one contender for AJ Styles’ WWE Championship at the Fastlane pay per view. These three have been in the storyline together for a while now, so this match made a lot of sense.

What didn’t make sense is to leave one of these two guys out of the clash. There is no reason to put the other one in and just leave the other guy hanging without having anything to do or having a feud on his plate.

That is why WWE booked AJ Styles to cause the DQ during the number one contender’s match so the GM can walk out and have a reason to put both of the guys in the championship fight. Right then and there, the main championship event for the Fastlane pay per view was set. Or, at least we thought it was.

Smackdown Live commish Shane McMahon has announced on Twitter that Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler are going to fight. There will be something on the line.

The winner of that match is going to become the fourth participant in the championship battle at Fastlane, which implies that AJ Styles is going to defend his belt in the fatal four-way clash at Fastlane.

The logical move there is to give the win to Dolph Ziggler. WWE tried something with him, but it looks like they did give up on that as he had meaningless Royal Rumble. Now, we are going to find out what they want to do with this guy. If he wins, we could see if the company might have something planned.
