Great news everybody, Serena Williams announced she is 20 weeks pregnant and this great news was brought to the world via Snapchat! This 23-time grand slam singles champion posted a picture overnight showing off her baby bump, and she captioned it “20 weeks.” If you can do the math, this incredible woman was already pregnant when she won the Australian Open in January.

As we managed to find out, from Serena’s spokeswoman, she will understandably, stop playing this year but she plans to return for the to the WTA circuit in 2018. As you already know she is engaged to tech entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian, best known as the co-founder of Reddit, and this was announced in December. In short period from December to January these two managed to start a new life, and if that isn’t all that exciting, Serena managed to win another grand slam without even losing a single set while pregnant. The fans of Serena probably know, but it doesn’t hurt to repeat the info, that she holds the most major titles in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles combined, but what is more important, she’s very close to Margaret Court’s all-time grand slam singles titles record of 24. Her 23rd title came after she triumphed over her sister Venus, 6-4 6-4, in the final, but this was also the seventh time she won the deciding match at Melbourne Park. That the family is most important was shown at the post-match presentation where we could see some true sportsmanship on the show. They had nothing but words of praise for each other – “Serena Williams — that is my little sister guys. Your win has always been my win. I think you know that” Venus said and added “All the times I wasn’t there or couldn’t be there or didn’t get there, you’ve been there. I’m enormously proud of you, you mean the world to me.”

Venus was also asked at that press conference if it is too difficult to be happy for her sister, mainly because she didn’t win, and the response was as you would expect it from a big sister – “No, because I guess I’ve been here before, you know. I really enjoy seeing the Williams name on the trophy. This is a beautiful thing.” As you could imagine, Serena also showed some love for her big sister by saying – “I would really like to take this moment to congratulate Venus, she is an amazing person. There is no way I would be at 23 (grand slam titles) without her. There is no way I would be at one without her. She is my inspiration, she is the only reason I am standing here today and the only reason that the Williams sisters exist. Thank you Venus for inspiring me to be the best player that I could be and inspire me to work hard.” She also added “Every time you won this week I felt like I got a win too. Thank you so much. Thank you.”

So this doesn’t feel one-sided, former Aussie pro Rennae Stubbs also had something to say about Williams sisters. He refereed to their life as one of “the most incredible story in sports.” Stubs told Serena at the Channel Seven studio – “Greatest siblings ever in tennis. Greatest sports story ever,” and she added that “Serena is just more aggressive. That is who she is and how she has come through her entire career and that is what makes her a little bit better.” She also praised her by saying that “She will go down as the greatest athlete we’ve ever seen. Not man, not woman. Athlete.”

I am a very hard-working person who leaves nothing unfinished and halfway done. When I commit to something I give my best to make sure that everything is done the way as it is supposed to be. I like cars and everything that comes with them. My passion are American muscle cars, but unfortunately the closest I managed to come near one is behind my laptop watching an image of the new Chevy or Dodge and writing about it. But that’s ok I’m still optimistic. When I’m not behind the laptop writing I’m on the streets and auto shows admiring all stuff rolling on four wheels being propelled by a petrol engine!
