Scream Season 3 Release Date Speculations

Scream, the horror movie franchise very popular and with a huge number of fans, had an MTV adaptation that was renewed for a six-episode third season in October. Unfortunately, nothing else has been said since then. Nonetheless, we will speculate about the release date of its new installment, because that’s the only thing we can do at the moment.

There hasn’t been any official announcement made by MTV yet about the premiere. But if we take a look at the release date of the previous two seasons, the possible release date of the third installment might be summer or sometime before Halloween in October.

Nothing has been posted on social media by the cast members as well, so we don’t know who of them will be returning to set and whether there will be any changes. In 2016 pre-production of Scream 2 began on Jan. 4 and its new episodes premiered on May 30, so now would be a great time for the beginning of the production.

Here is a quick reminder of where the series left off. Namely, Kieran was killed, and he was identified as Piper’s serial killer accomplice in the second season. However, his death didn’t necessarily mean that the Lakewood twins were safe and sound. The teenagers spend the weekend for Halloween at a mansion on Shallow Grove Island. They found themselves in another mystery in which Brandon James, the mass murderer from many years ago, might be coming back.

Scream was created by Dan Dworkin, Jay Beattie, Jill E. Blotevogel and it debuted June 30, 2015. Although the series had mixed reviews, its fan base was large. The story of the series focused on producing a modern version of the original, which included state-of-the-art technology and cyberbullying.

Since the number of viewers significantly reduced in the second season in comparison to the first one, there is a possibility that the third season won’t be produced at all, but we are hoping that’s not an option and that they would regain their fame in the third season by an outstanding performance.
