Ronda Rousey was on the top of the mountain just a couple of years ago. She was the biggest draw in all of the combat sports and maybe even in all of the sports in general. Before McGregor ruled the world of MMA, there was Ronda that was the biggest thing in the ring. Now, two years later, it seems that she is going to move on from MMA and transition into something else. Maybe that is wrestling? Is she going to step in the business of sports entertainment?
She was already at the Wrestlemania 31 in a segment and she loves professional wrestling. There were a lot of rumors of her coming to the WWE before she lost her title and was an active member of the UFC roster. Now, those rumors are going to speed up for sure as she probably won’t do an MMA match in the near future.
There are reports that she has started training to be a wrestler and is trying to transition from the combat sports to sports entertainment. She was also present at the Mae Young Classic, a tournament that is supposed to showcase the best female performers that worked all around the world.
Triple H recently spoke about Rousey, saying that she loves professional wrestling, that she is getting her life back on track after a couple of big professional disappointments. Here is what he had to say about her when he saw her during Mae Young Classic tapings.
“I don’t know that I ever one looked out at the crowd and saw her without this ear-to-ear grin on her face. She was like a little kid after every break there would be when I would talk to her – like a little kid. What does that mean? Unsure. What does that mean down the line? I think she’s unsure.”
