Roman Reigns Not Clear To Return?

The big comeback moment for the Shield at the Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay per view was ruined when the company announced Roman Reigns’ problems and absence due to an illness. He was forced to miss the event along with Bray Wyatt and was replaced in the main event by Raw General Manager Kurt Angle. It was a good match and Angle is a big attraction, but it just wasn’t the same old Shield.

WWE officials hoped that Reigns would be cleared for the Halloween edition of Monday Night Raw, but the doctors squashed those dreams. He was forced to sit out Raw and is going to miss the upcoming WWE tour in the UK. He is going to stay in the States in order to get better and possibly return next week.

Vince and others are hopeful that Roman can return before the Survivor Series. The rumors are that if he had been healthy, the Shield would have had another match at SS. Instead of that, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose are going to battle with The Usos in a fight where two tag team champions are going to clash, one for the red brand and one for the blue.

If Reigns makes it before the Survivor Series, we expect him to be on the Monday Night Raw team for the traditional 5V5 Elimination match. If not, he is going to continue being with The Shield when he does return. This way the company can get him through this transitional period, boost his babyface status by association with this former faction in order to get him ready for the Royal Rumble season and the road to Wrestlemania. That is the place where he is likely going to become the Universal Champion for the first time after beating the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar in the main event of the show.
