Unfortunately, we are bringing a sad news. Roger Moore, a famous actor, has died. He is best-known for his role in seven 007 movies between 1973 and 1985. According to his family, he lost a battle with cancer at the age of 89.

In the statement we have received from the family, a private funeral will be held in Monaco as that was the wish of the actor that came as a replacement for Sean Connery in the famous 007 franchise.

Here is the part of the statement: “We know our own love and admiration will be magnified many times over, across the world, by people who knew him for his films, his television shows and his passionate work for UNICEF which he considered to be his greatest achievement,” this was posted on Moore’s Twitter account by his children, Deborah, Geoffrey and Christian.

The career of Roger Moore started behind the camera in London, but due to his good looks, he managed to score few small roles in the film industry. From 1962 to 1969 we were able to watch Mr. Moore in TV series “The Saint” but his biggest success was the 007 franchise which he joined at the age of 45.

Like in movies, Mr. Moore had a lot of success with women, and he was married four times. From 1946 to 1953 he was married wth actress Doorn Van Steyn, from 1953 to 1968 to singer Dorothy Squires, to Italian actress Luisa Mattioli from 1969 to 1996 and Kristina Tholstrup from 2002.

Prostate cancer diagnosis came in 1993, and this significantly changed the way Mr. Moore looked at life. One of the decisions was to leave his wife, Luisa Mattioli. She was awarded a multimillion dollar settlement, but this also caused a rift with his three children. Fortunately, this was all sorted out later as he stated that it healed over time.

“They have great loyalty to their mother,” the famous actor said. “But, in the end, I trusted we would all be reconciled, and we are. They now get on with Kristina and accept her importance in my life.”
