Florentino Perez has set his mind into offloading Cristiano Ronaldo, according to the rumors.

One year ago, a 31-year-old forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has signed a new five-year contract worth £365,000-a-week. However, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez seems to be eager on selling the star by 2019. This means that Ronaldo will not see out the end of his contract.

Apparently, Perez wants to sell the player for quite some time in order to retrieve some of the money that was spent on him.

Perez had this in mind for two years already, and according to the rumors, Ronaldo will be sold to a Chinese club by the summer of 2018.

Perez obviously still holds a grudge against Ronaldo from the time when he sided with Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos in the quarrel.

Don Balon also asserts that Perez thinks it is necessary to make this step. It would help the club retrieve some of the £80million that was spent on him back in 2009.

When it comes to the Chinese teams, they are thrilled to spend money on such a player as they are eager to have some of the best players in their squads.

This season Ronaldo has struck 18 goals in 22 games, which is nothing short of brilliant. He also has 382 goals in 370 games along with the two won Championship Leagues in the period of 7 years he spent in Madrid.

Not long ago Carlos Tevez was proclaimed the highest-paid football player worldwide, but if Ronaldo makes this step, he could surpass his income by double.

Jorge Mendes, the player’s agent, refutes these rumors and for Sky Sports Italia he said:

“From China they’ve offered €300million to Real Madrid and more than €100m per year to the player [Ronaldo].”
