Randy Orton Becomes A Grand Slam Champion By Winning Us Title!

There have been only nine people before the Fastlane pay per view that have ever accomplished the Grand Slam in the WWE. What that means is that only nine people have ever been IC, US, Tag Team and World Champions in the history of the company. After the pay per view concluded last night, we got our tenth Grand Slam wrestler of all time.

Randy Orton has been feuding with a lot of people over the past year and most of those matches have been new. One of the people that he never faced before is Bobby Roode, and WWE thought that it would be a good idea to have these two guys battling for the United States Championship. We have to say that the company made the right call there, but the fact of the matter is that both of these wrestlers are babyfaces.

Orton needs to turn heel soon. Everybody kind of felt that Randy is the favorite here because if he had lost the match, there was no reason for them to face at Wrestlemania and both of these guys would be left without an opponent. Now, with Orton winning this clash, they are going to have a rematch and the battle that they will have is going to be a bit different, something else is going to be on the line.

Their match at Fastlane was good. Both of them have a similar style in the ring, but they did work nicely together. They can even top what they did at Fastlane with their performance at Wrestlemania, but one of them needs to turn heel for sure.

Orton is the logical option there even though we know that Roode was a good villain when he was in the NXT and that the role of a bad guy suits him better than the one he is currently portraying.
