Projected First Overall Pick Wants Cowboys To Trade For Him

Now that the NFL season is over and the games start in early August with the Preseason, every team is focusing on the off-season and what that brings. There is the Free Agency first, during which the teams can pick up some starts and valuable players to boost their chances of achieving their goals during the season. There is also NFL Draft that takes place in early May every single year and it’s a perfect opportunity for teams to rebuild their squad if they make good decisions during three draft days.

Dallas Cowboys are known for their offense and that offensive line that is making it all possible for the ‘Boys. As of this year, they are also known as a team that has a backup quarterback that earns has a big contract with the team and takes a lot of cap room. On the other hand, they are not known for their defense and they need to find a solution to fix it.

Projected number one overall pick in this year’s draft Myles Garrett thinks that he has an idea of how the Cowboys should do it.  The star defensive end from Texas A&M, a Texas native, would like to play in his home state, for the America’s team and has a suggestion for Dallas Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones.

“I’m speaking to you, Jerry, ” Garrett said in a video filmed last December at College Football Awards, but posted on Friday by ESPN. “Mr. (coach Jason) Garrett, make it happen. Dak Prescott leads our team right now. I need you to take Tony Romo, take a couple picks and give them to Cleveland so you can pick me up. I’d love to play in Dallas, just make it happen.”

The ESPN social media producer later clarified Garrett’s answer was “100 percent supposed to be fun,” and in the spirit of the even the producer said.
