In case you were worried whether the Burrows brothers will see each other again and if we will see them again on TV, we have great news for you – Prison Break is back for its fifth season. Namely, Prison Break: Resurrection has brought two brothers together, which means that Michael is alive since numerous fans have been in doubt ever since the previous season ended.
The fifth sequel picks up with the characters a few years after we left them in the series, seven years, to be precise. The show launched in the US on April 4th, whereas it will premiere in the UK on Monday, April 10th. It will be aired weekly at nine o’clock on Fox UK, available on Virgin and Sky. Fox UK is also available on NOW TV.
As far as its cast is concerned, it is mostly the same. Wentworth Miller returns for his role of Michael, Dominic Purcell reprises the role of Lincoln, Sara Wayne Callies comes again as Sara Tancredi.
Some other cast members are Paul Adelstein as Paul Kellerman, a former nemesis-turned-ally, now a State Department employee, Augustus Prew as Whip, Michael’s cellmate in prison, Mark Feuerstein as Jacob Ness, Sara’s new husband, Robert Knepper as T-Bag, Rockmond Dunbar as C-Note, Amaury Nolasco as Sucre.
The story is set 7 years later, and after Michael turns out to be alive, Sara and Lincoln reunite to engineer the greatest escape ever. Moreover, C-Note, Sucre, and T-Bag are pulled back into the action, whom we know as some of Fox River State Penitentiary’s most notorious escapees.
Michael finds himself trapped behind bars in the infamous Yemeni prison, while the country around him implodes. However, he has new identity and alliances to a known terrorist, and he seems to be a completely different person. After Lincoln has discovered his brother to be in prison in Yemen, he sets out on a mission to break him free and find out why he faked his death. On the other hand, Michael’s wife Sara has moved on after his alleged death but gets dragged back into the game after she finds out he is alive.
These are just some of the highly intriguing things we’ll have an opportunity to see in this sequel of the show, and we are looking forward to them.
