Possible Plans For WWE Championship Going Forward

Two World titles in the WWE are not going to be defended at the last dual branded pay per view of the year. Survivor Series is the event where Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is going to clash with the WWE Champion Jinder Mahal. John Cena is also rumored to be the special guest referee for the event, which can be something that the fans should watch closely. Why?

Well, there have been rumors that Cena should be the one to take down the Modern Day Maharaja and end his WWE Championship reign. If he somehow costs Jinder in his match against the Beast Incarnate, we could see Cena going for his 17th World Title at the expense of Jinder Mahal.

Since he is not expected to be on WWE TV until the Wrestlemania season, we for sure know that he is not going to challenge Mahal right after the Survivor Series. That spot is reserved for The Phenomenal One AJ Styles.

But, if Cena does indeed cost Mahal the match against Lesnar, we for sure know that Styles won’t be able to take the championship away from Mahal, which is going to make their feud very predictable and hard to watch. As much as the fans like Styles, they hate Mahal even more and seeing him take down another guy that he shouldn’t is probably going to be too much for the fans.

If Cena helps Lesnar, the proper road that WWE should take is to have Styles win the WWE Championship, have Mahal feud with Baron Corbin and win the United States title and then have Cena come for it at Wrestlemania 34 in New Orleans. That is the best route that the company can go, but we will have to wait and see what they have planned for the WWE Championship going forward.
