Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New England Patriots – AFC Championship Game Picks And Predictions

Only three more games are left in this 2016 NFL season. Two championship games and then the match on the grandest stage of them all – The Super Bowl. Steelers will be visiting the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship duel with a Super Bowl berth on the line. Patriots have won it all just two years ago while the Steelers haven’t made it to the final game of the season since 2010 when they lost to Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.

New England is coming into this match by winning eight straight duels. Their defense is looking pretty good. The stats are there, but they are still not an elite squad in that department. Belichick likes to take away opponent’s number one option, and for Steelers, it’s Antonio Brown. But, in the last couple of meeting with the Steelers, the Patriots haven’t been able to slow down Brown. Keeping him in check will be the key for New England.

Steelers are known for their high-powered offense, but they haven’t been able to get to the end zone against the Chiefs. Six field goals were enough to knock off the Kansas City Chiefs, but it won’t be enough for them to beat the Patriots at Gillette Stadium.

Brady vs. Roethlisberger rivalry has been somewhat disappointing, but this game can change that. If these two teams put on a show, the competition will start to recover and get serious. These are the two best crews that AFC had to offer this year and they deserve to be where they are.

Tom Brady had a pretty bad game against the Texans, and they still covered a 16-point spread. You know Brady is not happy with that outing and that he will step up in this one against this improving, but still shaky Steelers defense?

Can this Steelers defense make the plays that they made in the past couple of weeks? We don’t think so. It’s going to be a good game, both teams will have their ups and downs during the contest. At the end of the day, the Patriots will be standing tall as we are picking them to win this one 30:27.
