Is Nikki Bella Retiring After Wrestlemania 33?

The rumors were flying around in the past couple of weeks that Nikki Bella’s in-ring career is winding down and that Wrestlemania 33 could be her last match in the WWE. But, those rumors were not exactly true. Even though her new contract won’t be the same as this current one, she won’t be retiring.

Nikki Bella recently returned to a full-time schedule on Smackdown Live but is now having difficulties because her body actually is not able to sustain the tough WWE life of constantly traveling and wrestling. Nikki has been experiencing pain from her neck that has caused numbness to one side of her body. Basically, her body is failing her and telling that working a full-time schedule is not possible anymore.

Nikki missed some Live Events because of the numbness, so the company shot an angle on Talking Smack this past week. They hope that Nikki will take time off to heal and come back to wrestle only at major events.

Her contract is set to expire in the next couple of months, and she is expected to negotiate a new deal that will see her working a much lighter schedule. That probably means that she will wrestle only big matches and not at all on non-television Live Events. The general belief is that Nikki will still have a job with the company even after her in-ring career is done and isn’t able to compete in the ring anymore.

So no, Nikki Bella is not retiring, and her in-ring career is not coming to an end after Wrestlemania 33. But, she won’t be a member and won’t be showing up at all WWE Events after the biggest show of the year ends, and she negotiates a new deal. Good luck Nikki, we hope that we will see you in many more events.
