NFL Team Signing Colin Kaepernick?

There has been some noise about Baltimore Ravens possibly taking a look at Colin Kaepernick and possibly signing him onto their roster. Their backup quarterback Ryan Mallet has been pretty bad in the camp so far while their starting signal caller Joe Flacco has had some problems with his back. Even though it seems that Ravens could really use somebody like Kaep on their roster, the rumors of him going to the Baltimore Ravens are false.

“We are going through a process, and we have not made a decision, ” Newsome said. “Steve Bisciotti has not told us we cannot sign Colin Kaepernick, nor has he blocked the move. Whoever is making those claims are wrong.”

There are a lot of teams that could use Colin Kaepernick on their roster, but they are avoiding him because of the time when he wasn’t standing up for the National anthem, fighting for what he believes in. That was a big story a year ago, everybody had their own opinion and Kaep was always in the news.

It seems that teams are overreacting to what he did and to the media attention that he was getting. There is no doubt that a player like him could start for at least one-third of the teams in the NFL right now. The main reason that he is not a roster anymore is for sure him not standing up for the anthem. Now, it looks that the Ravens are his best shot at making the NFL roster this season. The same thing goes for the Ravens – if they need to sign another quarterback, Kaep is the best guy that they are going to find.
