It was a close call in Foxboro even though it looked like a blowout in the first half. Jimmy Garoppolo was destroying Miami’s defense in the first half. But, his shoulder gave up, and he ended up injured. That turned the game around and gave the Dolphins a shot at a comeback in the second half.

Luckily for Patriots, Miami was unable to complete it as they fell just short with the final score being 31:24 in favor of the home team. Brissett was decent considering that he was thrown into the fire just before the half ended. At the end of the day, Patriots are 2-0.

Dolphins’ offense did look great in the second half. There was no huddle, it wasn’t really a hurry-up offense, but they were moving the chains while playing the uptempo style of football. Gostowski’s field goal attempt could have ended the game before Tannehill got the chance to tie it. His attempt was wide right.

That left the door open for Miami; they started to control the game with time being their biggest enemy. Tannehill needed to sling one into the end zone as the time was running out and it ended up being intercepted by Patriots.

LaGerrette Blount was huge for New England in this game. He was the focal point of the offense after Garoppolo went down and he finished the game with 123 rushing yards and a score.

Garoppolo’s status for Thursday Night Football is unknown, but one thing is for sure, Brissett will be heavily involved in Pats’ next practice.
