In one of the rare games that still has a competitive meaning in Week 17, the New England Patriots are going to visit the Dolphins in Miami. Moore has led this team to two consecutive wins after Tannehill got hurt, but this is by far his biggest challenge since he took over. New England has the best scoring defense in the NFL.

This match has no meaning for the Dolphins. They are already in the Playoffs, but the New England Patriots still have some unfinished business. They need to win this duel in order to secure home-field advantage in the postseason. If they win or the Raiders lose, the road to the Super Bowl in the AFC will have to go through the Gillette Stadium.

Don’t think for one second that Miami is going to give up on this game. They have a chance to spoil the plans of their divisional rival, while also having an opportunity to take away the home-field advantage that the Patriots have right now.

Even though they didn’t make the Playoffs last season, they have beaten the Patriots in Week 17, and that cost New England that same advantage. Denver took that gift from Miami, hosted the AFC championship game and won the Super Bowl later on.

Patriots preferred health over the home-field advantage. A lot of players were resting on that day and Patriots were handled by the Dolphins. This year it will be a much different story. Don’t think that Brady forgot about that loss. Patriots will win this game 31:20.

  1. I know what this game looks like on paper. The Patriots are the Patriots and the Dolphins are injured as hell with backups starting in multiple positions starting at QB. However, do not sleep on MIA this Sunday.

No matter how bad MIA was during the rest of the season (including at Foxboro), the Dolphins generally punch the Patriots’ ticket in South Florida. Tom Brady has a losing record and has lost the last three games at Hard Rock Stadium against a series of mediocre to bad MIA teams. This season, over the past ten games, MIA enters their NE finale just as hot as the Pats (9-1).
