NBA Slam Dunk Contest – Picks And Predictions

All-Star Saturday’s main event is set. It will be the Dunk Contest that will take place on Saturday, February 18th in New Orleans. Zach LaVine won back-to-back titles in New York and Toronto, but he won’t be there to defend his crown. His rival from last year Aaron Gordon will be in the contest to write the wrong from last year. Will he succeed?

DeAndre Jordan, Glen Robinson III, and Derrick Jones Jr. will be his rivals on Saturday night in New Orleans. Jordan is leading the NBA in dunks this season, just like every season, as he already has over 150 slams this year. On the other hand, we have Derrick Jones Jr. who is spending most of his playing time in the D-League, but he is known as a high-flyer and a legitimate candidate to win this contest. Glen Robinson III is a Pacer and a well-known athlete.

Competition is really good this year, and we think that all the guys will bring it. When it comes to first round, we see Aaron Gordon advancing and competing in the final round. Most people think that it will happen and we are going to roll with him to advance. DeAndre Jordan is a tall man, and we are unsure of how and what he can do in this contest. He just seems like a player that is much better in-game dunker than in the competition. The same can be said for Robinson III. That leaves us with Jones Jr. matching up with Gordon.

Derrick Jones Jr. is a special dunker, and he needs to pull some amazing stuff. Gordon will bring the fight, and we think that he will end up on top. Even if he is not on his best game, we see the judges cutting him some slack since he was close to winning last year. Our pick: Aaron Gordon.
