The Miz Has New Challenger For The IC Title At No Mercy

Monday Night Raw started off with The Miz coming out and complaining to Kurt Angle about the fact that he has been overlooked yet again in his career. At Summerslam, he wasn’t defending his IC title, the second most important title on the brand at the second biggest pay per view that WWE puts together in a year. Now, at No Mercy, he was really close to not defending the championship that he has made to look good.

He had no challengers before last night’s show where there was a six-pack challenge that was booked in order to determine who is going to go to No Mercy and challenge the A-lister. Originally, it was supposed to be a fatal four-way, but Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas have been added to the match after Jordan insisted that he wants them there too so he can prove a point to the champion.

Jeff Hardy was the favorite here, and he looked like he is going to win the fight after the landed his finishing move on the Curtis Axel. The Miz, however, continued his storyline with Jeff Hardy by preventing him from winning the match and actually helping Jason Jordan. In the end, he is the new challenger, and this guy is going to be facing The A-Lister at the pay per view this Sunday.

It seems that WWE is trying to push Jordan just like they did with Roman Reigns. They have no patience, they don’t want to wait for him to build character and get interesting to the fans. Jeff Hardy should have probably won this match, but WWE wanted to go another route. It is going to be interesting to see what the company does to get Jason Jordan over with the fans in Los Angeles on Sunday at the No Mercy pay per view.
