Microsoft Corporation Offer Buyers $650 For Swapping MacBook Air With Surface Pro3

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has high hopes attached to the new device Surface Pro 3. The software giant is offering its customer’s $650 trade-in if they choose to replace the MacBook Air with a Surface Pro 3, which shows the high expectations of the company with the new gadget that, will beat the popularity of MacBook Air.

Microsoft serving dual purpose

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)is promoting this device and has come up with a new exciting offer for its prospective Surface Pro 3 buyers that allow them to get the device by exchanging it for MacBook Air and getting a discount of $650 on the new purchase. The offer will last till the 31st of July and cannot be combined with any other offers. The company has priced the new device at $799 and under this exchange offer it will be available to the customers at just $150.

What’s attractive about the Surface Pro 3 is that it serves the dual purpose of being used at work as a laptop and at the same time also provide the fun gaming experience to the gamers. The Surface Pro 3 is, also, lightweight and hence competent enough to replace all types of personal computers.

A tablet to replace a laptop is welcomed by many, but at the same time not greeted well by many. People are not very confident if this tablet, which is said to be capable of being used as a laptop will actually be a proper replacement to a laptop.

Good enough for MacBooks?

The personal computer market has been on a decline from quite some time now and the market share has been taken over by the smartphone and tablets. The computer manufacturers are introducing hybrid PCs in the market that are convertible into tablets and this has caught the attention of all the buyers including the new ones. Rather than having just one device, the idea of having a two-in-one device is drawing more and more people.

Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL), which holds the dominant position in the laptops and tablets market with its offerings like iPads and MacBooks, tends to stand tough competition from the Surface Pro 3. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)hopes that with its new device and exchange program, it would divert the demand from Apple computers and tablets towards its new offering and hence can successfully compete with Apple in this arena.
