The Chinese mobile phone company unveils its latest innovation of the edgeless smartphone concept. The Mi Mix will definitely be an eye catcher with all its stunning features as a gadget. It was unveiled to the public at an event in Beijing just recently.

This Chinese handset is equipped with exceptional options that make a crown jewel in the mobile phone industry. It has a dazzling 6.4–inch LCD which comes with a resolution of 1080p and bezel free setup. This screen covers almost the entire device.

It is also interesting to note that Mi Mix brings something quite similar to the Corner R concept technology from Sharp as the display curves at the corners.

When it comes to performance, Mi Mix is able to compete with the top shelf devices in the arena. With Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 for its processor, this device works as good as the Google Pixel.

Furthermore, it also utilizes a 16MP main camera plus a 5MP selfie snapper at the front. The position of the front camera is quite interesting as they decided to place it in the bottom left part of the device. It might seem unusual, but if you flip the phone, it will adjust itself accordingly.

The new mobile device comes in two versions. You can either get the unit with 4 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes phone storage or the upgraded version which has 6GB of RAM and 256GB built-in storage. It also has a rear camera and fingerprint reader. Accented with 18-karat gold, the device really looks very elegant and classy.

Another promising feature is 4,400 mAh battery pack. With this, it can allow you an entire day of usage. It’s amazing that the device is able to provide such a long battery life in spite of its large screen display. Lastly, the mobile device also recharges very quickly thankfully to included Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 option. On top of that, we are getting support for dual SIM as well as NFC.

But there’s more to Mi Mix that is quite noteworthy. First of all, it’s the absence of an earpiece speaker. No need to worry, though. It can still make and receive calls. The manufacturers only had enhanced its configuration to embed a piezoelectric actuator under the screen which generates the sound.

Xiaomi also took off the traditional infrared sensor and replaced it with an ultrasonic proximity sensor instead. This feature makes Mi Mix one of its kind in the market.

It is also equipped with a palm rejection function in its toolbox for easier and more precise usage of that large screen. One of the options that we are missing is the water protection so think twice before going for a swim with your favorite gadget.

We really like what Mi Mx brings but if you assume that this is all you are wrong. Full ceramic body, how that sounds? Yup, it gives it that refined and ultra expensive feel. Be prepared as this device will step out to the stage in November in China.
