Mercedes-AMG GT Concept shown in Geneva!

When we saw the Mercedes-AMG GT Concept on its display on Geneva Motor Show, we somehow got the raw and primal vibe from it. You might be asking yourself how come? Well, the fact is that despite all the tech and slickness that seems to be in focus these days, Mercedes’ designers decided to go with over-the-top, dominant, angry and almost neanderthal-looking front end that makes you tremble in front of its toothy radiator “grin.”

Apparently, the engineers wanted to achieve “extremely muscular proportions, ” and boy did they managed to do that. To enhance that they painted the car in the most enigmatic warm color ever that will confuse you every time because you never know if it is red, orange, pink, or yellow. As we found out, some of Mercedes’ representatives that were present there told that this four-door concept is very close (around 90% done) to be an actual Mercedes-AMG sports car that is set to be released and roam the streets in not so distant future. But its design is not all that it has going for itself. Apparently, it is also a hybrid, and it borrowed some of the inspiration and techs from the Mercedes Formula 1 team that dominate the competition. We are aware that it is not in accordance with AMG tradition, but the enormous power is just what is expected from a model like this.

But this raw and powerful AMG GT Concept wasn’t the only one such car on the stands in Geneva. There was a sea of vehicles that have been sharply and aggressively designed with more or less power to them, but it seems that the AMG GT Concept managed to stand out in that crowd only thanks to the little details. Those details imply the golden wheel decorations, bronze brake calipers, and elongated taillights which tie up beautifully with the red color scheme. The lack of side mirrors that have been replaced by rear-facing cameras, the frameless side windows, and carbon fiber finished roof is just a bonus to all of that.

But the last thought we have for you is the fact that this Mercedes-AMG GT Concept, regardless of the angle from which you are loking at it, seems to be something that is actually achievable and real, instead of it just being some designers dream or distant future project, and that is what makes us super enthusiastic about it.
