Things are about to pick up in the world of WWE as we are getting ready for the road to Wrestlemania. The first stop is going to be the Royal Rumble, which is going to have a major impact on how Wrestlemania’s card is going to shape up. But, we already know who is going to challenge AJ Styles for the WWE Championship during the final PPV before the biggest show of the year.
The Fastlane pay per view is going to be the final Smackdown Live branded event before Wrestlemania. AJ Styles is likely going to remain the champion and will probably take that title to New Orleans in April. Still, we don’t know how the pending storyline is going to end and what kind of an impact it will have on Mania.
The video promoting the show tells us that the main event for the WWE Championship is going to be a fatal five-way match! AJ Styles is going to have to defend the title against Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.
It’s likely that Styles is going to win the clash, but the question is who is going to challenge him at Mania and how will WWE determine who is going to be his challenger.
If we were to pick somebody to be AJ Styles’ opponent, we are going to pick Nakamura. There is also a decent chance that Styles is going to lose the belt to Nakamura at Fastlane and that he gets his rematch at Wrestlemania. That is one way to book it, but we hope that WWE thinks of something better and makes this storyline more interesting than we proposed.
