As we are already familiar with, the movie Logan will be featuring the famous Marvel Comics character Wolverine. Namely, this is supposed to be the 10th installment of the X-Men Series and the third Wolverine film. Not only is it the third one, but the final one, as well. If you have ever wondered where the director takes inspiration from, it is “Old Man Logan” by Steve McNiven and Mark Millar.
When it comes to the plot of the movie, all we have known up to this moment is that it follows Logan in his last adventure in the future after the apocalypse. They have kept it secret for a long time, but its star, Hugh Jackman, has decided to share some details with his fans on Facebook. Namely, what he wrote is: “In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.” He gave away just enough information for his fans who were craving for anything about the movie to become even more intrigued.
Namely, this will be Hugh Jackman’s final turn as Wolverine, which he has played for as many as 17 years. His first time as the adamantium-clawed hero was in 2000’s X-Men. Apart from him, there will be Patrick Stewart once again as Charles Xavier, while the role of the ‘young mutant’ belongs to Dafne Keen.
In the last year’s interview with Dr. Oz, Jackman mentioned his decision for this part to be the final portrayal of the character. He stated he simply felt that that installment of the movie was the perfect way to go out. All we can add to that is the fact we are eagerly looking forward to seeing it on March 3.
