The results which arrived were to some extent different from the last research as they had several changes even in the first ten, top countries.

Switzerland maintains the reputation of having high-level civil rights, low unemployment and the good quality of life in general, which puts it on the very top of the list.

The United States of America, which presents the world’s economic power, is now on place number seven, which means that it has faced the drop of four places. After the election of Trump, U.S. has slipped from fourth to the seventh position.

According to USA TODAY NETWORK:

“Among the 21,000 surveyed, 75% said they lost some respect for U.S. leadership after the 2016 presidential election.”

The research has proved that U.S. is still considered to be the most powerful country in the world, while Russia follows. However, the difference between the two is almost negligible.

“The United States ranked lower than past years across multiple categories, including best for business, citizenship, adventure tourism, education, transparency and headquartering a corporation. However, the country remained No. 1 on the list of most powerful countries closely followed by Russia and China.”
