LinkedIn Corp (NYSE:LNKD) given the rich cache of data on hand, now has a plan which would let to gain from the data-‘golden goose’ it is sitting on. It has drawn up diversified teams which includes PhD students, researchers and professors to mine ‘significant amount’ of the captive data it holds. They are expected to review and crunch this data to drawn meaning ‘information’ which will cast the future of job markets and more.

The study will take a deeper look at how the companies will look at promoting themselves with respect to the professional profiles.

Each of the team will engage in these studies in the next six months. The team member of the various groups was not an ad-hoc or walk-in hiring but selected from over hundreds of application. The valuable data that the network holds may soon become the driving force on job market research.

The information which the experts will be able to collate will have significant ramifications. As the human resource industry struggles with the impact of online and remote working force, the traditional hiring and infrastructure needs to be analyzed.
