L.A Dodgers triumph 2-1 against S.F Giants – Rumble breaks out again!

Since this is not the first time something like this is happening, it’s pretty much turning into a certain tradition! This time actors of a Monday night rumble were again Yasiel Puig and Madison Bumgarner. If you recall this is not the first time these two got into a heated argument, and last two known incidents were in May 2014 when Puig hit 431-foot home run to center field, after what Bumgarner waited for him to round up at third base to exchange a few “pleasantries.” Situation after this, of course, got a whole lot serious. Next incident between these two was in September 2014, when Bumgarner hit Puig as he was moving toward the mound. After some heated argument benches were cleared as well as bullpens and Puig had to be held down by teammates and umpire.

After a short “break” Monday’s night incident happen probably because of misunderstanding between these two. Apparently, Bumgarner fielded a ground ball sent by Puig and fired to first for the third out in the seventh inning of the game. Bumgarner made an indistinct shout, probably celebrating the final out, but Puig saw that as a shout toward him and the two of them started their little tradition of rumbling on the field. Thank God it didn’t escalate beyond pushing and showing, although it was expected and awaited.

Puig’s double in the second inning was the only hit given up by Bumgarner, who had ten strikeouts in seven innings before leaving the game, and that is where the problem probably started. After the incident, Bumgarner did not return to eight inning and most likely contributed to the loss against Giants. According to Puig’s statement “Every time I face him, it seems like we have those problems, It seems to work out because we win”.

Bumgarner on the other hand, visibly annoyed, stated “I didn’t hear what was going on, I just got him out, and he tried to stare me down or something. That’s what it looked like to me”.

Giants manager Bruce Bochy had his back turned when this whole thing started but as he stated: “They’re not going to go out to dinner, It’s been going on for a while, so it doesn’t surprise me anymore.” Neither does us Bochy, neither does us anymore!
