Justice League One Character To Be Dropped

Directed by Zack Snyder and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, “Justice League” is one of this year’s most anticipated movies. It is the sequel to 2016 “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” which stands as the second biggest opening for Warner Bros. For that reason, it is expected that the upcoming installment will be a great success as well and that it will be even better accepted by the fans. What we have recently found out about the film is that one of the characters present in the previous DC Comics entry will not appear in this one.

Namely, in spite of some people’s expectations about “Justice League” bringing together all DC characters, the filmmakers have decided not to do that, at least not for now. Laurence Fishburne, who played Perry White, the editor-in-chief of Metropolis newspaper the Daily Planet in last year’s superhero film, confirmed that he wouldn’t take part in the sequel, and that, eventually, it had been decided that his character was not necessary to be a part of the movie, either.

According to LA Times, Fishburne was first contacted to reprise his role, but he turned down the offer. Here’s how he explained why: “They asked me to come for a day, but I couldn’t work it out, schedule-wise. And really, what do you need the newspaperman in ‘Justice League’ for? You want to see the Flash. You want to see Aquaman. You want to see Wonder Woman. You want to see the Lantern.”

Furthermore, Fishburne also mentioned that he thought Warner Bros. was working too slowly. “We’ve been waiting 35 years for these [characters] to show up on the screen. What were they doing over there? This is the comic-book geek in me, who has a collection of comic books. I’ve been waiting to see these people on-screen forever,” the actor added.

In addition to this announcement, it has been talked about movie’s trailer, as well. While nobody specified when we could expect the trailer to be released, Gal Gadot, who plays Wonder Woman, hinted that it would be soon.
