Josh Brolin the next Cable in Deadpool 2 posted his workout video!

Everyone knows that there is no way someone can get buffed and gain that body needed for a superhero in a movie overnight. If you want that role you have to work until you can work no more and then some more, and that is what Josh Brolin knows which is the reason why he is doing everything he can to get in shape for his role of Cable in the next Deadpool movie.

The casting process for the role of Cable has finished around two months ago, and since that moment Josh has been hitting the gym pretty hard in order to achieve that bionic-armed, straight-faced, time-traveling mutant look. During that process, Josh has shared “image or two” that show his extraordinary progress. In the video we have here for you, this guy is showing his workout video that features very noticeable and highly impressive bulging muscles and veins he received from weight training and eating clean foods.

As for the workout itself, Brolin does seated hammer curls. He wrote this under his video “The ‘Team’ is killing it. It takes a small village: [Justin Lovato] at [I Am Built], Jonathon Phillips [at Huntington Beach Max Muscle], [Gold’s Gym] and some discipline,” Brolin caption the video. “Just saw [Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista] at the gym and he said: ‘What the f*ck happened to you?!’ Haha. Best compliment ever. Totally clean: no sugar, no breads, no pastas, no drugs, none of it. Fish, rice, eggs, veggies, water, one Bulletproof or Caveman coffee in the morning. I’m almost 50. It’s a different time: our access along with some big picture discipline results in always surprising milestones. Get on the train.”

Brolin also made a comical reference of the possible animosity that will be a part of Deadpool 2, and he did it by including a hashtag “#ryanreynoldsismyb*tch” Hahaha, it will be very interesting to see what actually comes out of this. As a bonus, Josh also provided an additional image that shows him dressed as a Brand, Mikey’s buff older brother. Why did he do that you might ask? Well, the fact is that one of his friends is having a ’80s themed birthday party and in the lack of ideas what to wear his wife suggested that he should consider his first role, and so he did!

Just another reminder, the Deadpool sequel, which is being directed by David Leitch (John Wick, Atomic Blonde) and written by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, is currently in pre-production and is expected to begin filming at the end of this spring. Yay, can’t wait!
