Ever since they broke the news about Deadpool getting a sequel, there have been numerous speculations about the movie cast. If there is one character that has received special attention, that’s definitely Cable, as there was a long list of possible candidates for the part, including Brad Pitt, Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe, David Harbour, etc. However, none of them eventually got the part, but they decided to trust Josh Brolin with this role. Taking into consideration how committed he is to this task already, we can say that this was the right decision.
Brolin is known for his memorable performances in several movies, including “No Country for Old Men” and “American Gangster” and we have no doubts we will do an excellent job as Cable in Deadpool 2, as well. It’s a well-known fact that Brolin is some kind of a fitness freak, so his fans were not surprised at all to see him getting into shape for Cable ahead of the highly-anticipated sequel. But, his transformation now still managed to impress many people, even the WWE Champion Dave Bautista, who said: “I literally didn’t recognize Josh Brolin when I first saw him. Talk about transformations! The dude’s 50! A list movie star! Seen and done it all! Has absolutely nothing to prove! And he’s still grinding! Now if that’s not motivational then I don’t know what to tell you! Dream chasers never stop!”
The actor himself posted a photo which shows how hard he’s working to get into shape for this part with a caption which says: “Cable’s coming, growing from the inside, Clean building from a past of donut travel to the present hard case that he is. No sugar. No bread. No pastas. The machine is being built.”
Deadpool 2 is set to hit theaters in June 2018. In the meantime, follow us for more details.
