Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is creating a lot of hype for its upcoming smartwatch ‘Apple Watch’. The gold plated luxury 18 karat watch is speculated to cost over $13,000 in Canada alone and analysts feel that
it is way too pricey. That is over three year’s education fee at a Canadian university. For all those who still want to own this smart watch still have hope. The jewellers are offering to gold plate the
steel Apple Watch for as less as $400.
Even as the much-talked about smartwatch is all set to hit the market, the price is a dampener and the original gold-plated watch from Apple will only be seen with a few, while all the others will go for
customized versions that their local jewellers will provide.
Gold-plated Apple Watch
According to Watchplate.com, it is very easy to get a gold-plated Apple Watch. The customer just needs to place an order and get a prepaid FedEx label that requires the steel watch to be dropped off at
FedEx and in 3 business days after the Watchplate.com receives the watch and they will ship it with the desired outcome.
Another popular company, the Time Preserve in Waterford, Mich., also has on offer to gold-plate the steel watch in 18-karat at $550 and return it back in a week. For the ones who can afford more, Swiss
company Golden Dreams offers a 18-karat yellow gold, 18-karat rose gold or 18-karat white gold for around $3,500.
The average person can only assume to look at the watch and the pre-orders of the watch have not been too good in U.S. too. Mostly the less-expensive aluminium Sport and stainless steel watches have been
booked by the customers who were eagerly awaiting the Apple Watch. Reports claim that of the one million watches booked on April 10, the percentage of those who booked the gold one were miniscule.
The company also offers a wide range of customization and more than 160 strap colors made from materials such as python, alligator, ostrich and shark.
