With the brand new 2018 Compass, Jeep has opened new pages of their book to write history, leaving the first-generation Compass in the past together with the horrible Patriot. The new model comes with different exterior and interior design and new chassis, all of which makes it better than the current version.

Now, we have a chance to see the first special edition concept that is based on the 2018 Jeep Compass, and it is called the Trailpass. This concept is equipped with Mopar and Jeep Performance Parts that make it a capable off-road machine, plus it looks awesome.

In order to improve ground clearance, the Trailpass has seen a 1.5-inch suspension lift while the wheels and tires are larger than on the standard version. To be more precise, Jeep Trailpass concept sits on 18-inch wheels with Continental’s new all-terrain tires named the TerrainContact. One pocket on each wheel is painted in orange so that it can match the color of the tow hooks and badges.

The hood and roof are painted in black, whereas the color of the rest of the body is olive drab. Even though the hood is black, it features olive drab graphics that add some character to the car, while the mirror caps match the gloss black wheels. The roof rack from Thule that is available through Mopar is positioned up top with the traction mats which are mounted inside to help you drive out of any tough situation.

In the cabin, the designers decided to go with custom Katzkin leather seats and the dashboard that is dressed up in body-color accent bezels. To keep the carpet clean, the Jeep Trailpass uses JPP all-weather floor mats. There are no revolutionary changes under the hood where we can find the 2.4-liter Tigershark 4-cylinder unit connected to a nine-speed automatic gearbox.

That is about it when it comes to this special edition concept, and as you can see, not much has been changed. But the point of this vehicle is to show what can be done with Mopar and Jeep Performance Parts and many of the items that are a part of the Trailpass is available for ordered from a local Jeep dealership.
