Is Castle canceled? Season 9 a Possibility?

When a TV Show lasts for eight seasons, it’s thanks to its popularity. The reputation of any series comes from good writing, good acting, and other things that make a good show. Nothing on TV last eight years if it doesn’t have quality and most of all the large fan-base. Despite a drop in popularity in recent years the Castle started to get big ratings once again throughout Season 8.

Before the release of the eight season, it was rumored that the show might get canceled because the ratings were dropping, and with them, the series wasn’t as commercial as before. There were issues with the contracts of the leading stars Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion. In the end, the problems were resolved, and both starts extended their deals. Nathan even signed an agreement that would guarantee his presence in Season 9. The case was different with Katic, where she knew that in the case of Castle Season 9 she was not going to be a part of the crew. The fan-base find it hard to accept this development and the decision backslashed on the ABC.

Despite the willingness of the other cast members and writers to continue the show, the studio decided that the future of the ABC is not lying in Castle and that they can’t make it profitable as it once was.

The final episodes of Season 8 had two possible endings. One was imagined in a way where Katic (already knew that she’s not going to play in Season 9) is being killed off and the future season or seasons of Castle would revolve only around Richard Castle. The other one being the one that we saw and where the Castle and Beckett have resolved their biggest case and have lived happily ever after.

So in the end, we must say, despite you already know it. The TV Show Castle has been canceled after eight seasons. The rumored Season 9 is not going to happen, at least not anytime soon. If they (ABC) decide to do it, we will be the first to let you know.
