There were reports by TMZ that said that Hulk Hogan is going to make his WWE return and that the company and The Hulkster are in talks about his possible comeback. They want to bring him back the right way as they want to be sensitive towards the people that he hurt with his racial comments that got him fired in the first place back in 2015.
TMZ also reported that there were members of the Saudi Royal Family that wanted Hulk Hogan to work the Greatest Royal Rumble event, but that the WWE didn’t want to put him on the show. Had they done that, he would have probably been one of the guys in the Royal Rumble match.
While they didn’t bring him in for that show, it seems that this triggered WWE talking to The Hulkster again about his return. The company even listened to the creative pitches for him to make his comeback at the Greatest Royal Rumble event, but the trigger was never pulled on any of the ideas that were discussed.
Right now, the company is watching his every move, and they want for him to look good in the court of public opinion. They even released an official statement about his speech from the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. Here is what they had to say about Hulk Hogan and what he stated the other day:
“WWE applauds the work Hulk Hogan is doing with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to turn what was a negative into a positive by helping young people learn from his mistake. While he has taken many steps in the right direction since we parted ways, Hogan is not currently under contract to WWE.”
