Hugh Jackman will not play Wolverine in Deadpool

To the dismay of many, Hugh Jackman has disregarded and remained deaf to Ryan Reynolds’s desire to have him as Wolverine in the next Deadpool movie. Although Ryan still sees the two of them as a good combination on the big screen, Hugh does not seem to share the same opinion.

It may be hard for some to imagine this but those people should just come to terms with the new situation, as it will apparently not change. Hugh seems to be satisfied with his experience with the character, and he admitted to what extent it influenced and shaped his own personality. However, he is also aware of the fact that it was about time that, after 17 years, someone else took over this role.

“The character will go on, someone else will play it, for sure.”

In a Facebook Live session, Jackman revealed his attitudes on the matter:

“No, and Ryan is currently sleeping outside my house. He has a little picket fence going on there.”

And no matter how to some people it may sound like a great idea, Jackman sticks to his own:

”Look, if that movie had appeared 10 years ago, probably a different story, but I knew two and half years ago that this was the last one.”

Later he added:

“The first call I made was to [Logan director James Mangold]. I said, ‘Jim, I’ve got one more shot at this.’ As soon as Jim came up with the idea and we worked on it I was never more excited. But, it feels like the right time. Deadpool, go for it, man. Do your thing. You don’t need me.”

So, it is high time that we started getting used to not seeing Hugh Jackman as Wolverine ever again. Who would you choose to replace this guy in the role of Wolverine?
