Nobody really thought that Jinder Mahal was going to lose his championship before the tour in India. That is a big reason for him winning the belt. Now that his title reign has come and gone, there are a few more options that WWE can work with this guy going into Wrestlemania season. Styles being the champion changes a lot.

We know that the winner of the Royal Rumble has a guaranteed championship match at the grandest stage of them all. We also know that WWE has Reigns vs. Lesnar penciled in for the main event at Wrestlemania. That means the booking team is going to have to put Reigns in the championship picture on Raw somehow. The easy way to go about it is for him to look strong, dominant in the Royal Rumble and to win it, so he faces Lesnar at Mania.

The other way for them to have him challenge the Beast Incarnate is for this guy just to look strong going into February Raw PPV and win the match to become the number one contender. That is going to take some storyline work in order for everything to make sense.

Before Styles won the championship, he was the clear-cut favorite to be the last man standing in the Royal Rumble match. With Phenomenal One’s win over the Modern Day Mahajara, there is a new name that is going to be right at the top of the list to win the Royal Rumble in January – Shinsuke Nakamura.

Right now, WWE has a prime opportunity to have the dream match between Styles and Nakamura take place at Wrestlemania. If Nakamura is going to be in the Royal Rumble, there is no reason why should not be in the Top 2 favored Superstars to win it.
